Commissioned by Cultuurmakers Maastricht, Stadsnomade together with property manager Maximus and other partners will facilitate a physical URBAN place for young people. A cultural free zone where the creation and experience of young, urban cultural expressions stands central.

The Vrijhaven offers youth the opportunity to come together and discover their own cultural identity. We emphasise on both the support and participation of youth between ages 15 and 25. Here, they can learn, create, share, meet and experiment on a peer-to-peer basis. The young people are supported in this by all kinds of partners from the cultural field.

Together with Code 043, Kaleidoscoop, Trajekt and COA, we find and connect with young people with a distance to sport, art and culture. We also work together with the youth culture coach of Kaleidoscoop Cultuureducatie to provide the project with the necessary knowledge and expertise concerning the target group.
